A mum has shared her top tip for removing food and poop stains from her baby’s clothes without using expensive products – and while it may sound too good to be true, she swears it works
For such tiny humans, babies really make a big mess.
There are many stains on babies’ clothes that new moms have to contend with, but perhaps the most stubborn of them all is poo.
No one tells you when you’re pregnant how many loads you’ll do each day. Otherwise, you’ll end up throwing countless baby sprouts in the trash and spending a fortune replacing them every time there’s a stubborn stain.
But there’s good news for mums as a parent claims to have found a simple one-step trick to remove some of the toughest stains from your baby’s clothes – and it doesn’t involve paying for powders or detergents of fantasy.

The resourceful mum shared her wisdom on a Facebook group Cleaning Hacks, Tips and Recommendations in 2019 – but the trick is timeless and it costs absolutely nothing to try for yourself.
She posted an image of her little one’s white onesie smothered in tomato sauce alongside an “after” photo of the same item, again a cool white box.
The woman explained her secret – and it’s as easy as hanging stained clothes on the clothesline in the sun.
It sounds too good to be true, but the mom claims it “really works” and we’re really intrigued.
She explained, “Before and after 24 hours on the line and no stain remover needed.”
And it looks like she’s not the only one who discovered this free stain removal hack.
Another member replied, “It really works. The poo and tomato sauce stains disappear after several hours outside in bright sunshine. Don’t ask how it works, it works.”
And someone else wrote: “I do this all the time and most of the time it works a treat.”
