Little Angels Prams baby store expands thanks to lockdown boom

A business that sells strollers, strollers, car seats and other baby products has grown after taking a 16,000 square foot storage unit in the East Midlands

Little Angels Prams has been strengthening its presence in the booming baby products market since 2014, replacing its original store in Ilkeston with a flagship store which opened in Prospect Street, Nottingham, in 2019.

The idea for the business came when owner Kelly Carter had her first child and found herself struggling to get all the information she needed from the stores she visited.

It gave her both the idea and the motivation to open a store that she hoped would provide parents with all the products they need as well as informative and helpful advice on what to buy.

The company has now taken a unit on Cossall Industrial Estate, near Ilkeston, for additional storage after the business boom during and after the foreclosure.

The deal was negotiated by Sunny Landa, director of NG Chartered Surveyors, who acted on behalf of a private owner.

He said: “We are seeing a huge demand for good quality warehousing inventory in the East Midlands as e-commerce businesses are booming and more mainstream retailers such as Little Angels see a strong recovery as the restrictions were lifted over the summer.

“For our client owner, this is a great result as we have a strong tenant in the building. I want to congratulate Little Angels on their growth and success in what has been an incredibly difficult retail environment over the years. the past 18 months – they should be applauded for their resilience and I wish them well for the future. “

Cossall Industrial Estate is located just off the A6096 Awsworth bypass.
