Lidl reduces the price of baby products by 20% for Plus card users

LIDL has reduced the price of its Lupilu baby products for Plus card users.

If you have a Lidl Plus card, you can get 20% off the entire range for just one week.

Already low prices get 20% off if you have a Lidl Plus card

The card is virtual so you just have to download Lidl’s free app claim.

The Plus Card app lets you unlock coupons when you hit your spending goals each month and is a great way to save on Lidl’s already low prices.

However, offers can be regional, so not everyone will be able to claim this baby event offer – just type your zip code into the app to check if your local store is eligible.

For example, buyers in Lincolnshire and the West Midlands were lucky this week with the 20% offer.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is being offered or is part of a sale, that doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that will check the prices for you – so don’t pay more than you need to.

Most of them work by comparing prices from hundreds of retailers.

Here are a few that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that allows users to search and compare product prices on the web. Simply enter keywords or a product number to display the search results.
  • Spy Award records an item’s cost history with over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay, and supermarkets. Once you’ve selected an individual product, you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which stores have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that allows you to compare prices between retailers. All buyers have to do is find the item they need and the website will rank them from cheapest to highest.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on products sold on Amazon. To use it, enter the URL of the product whose price you want to check.

If you are in the area eligible for the offer, you have until next Wednesday to claim the discount baby products that are running right now.

Lidl updates the Plus Card offers every Thursday. Thus, once it is exhausted, you can claim a new one for other products the next day.

Once you have created an account and the Plus card is ready to use, all you need to do is ‘activate’ the last voucher in the coupons section and bring it to the store to scan the QR code on the card. More at checkout.

You can only use the coupon once, so make sure you have picked up all the baby stuff you need from your store.

You cannot buy Lidl products online, so you will need to go to stores to find the offer and stock will be subject to availability – Lidl store search will help you determine where your nearest is.

But it’s always worth shopping around to see if you can find the cheaper products elsewhere – just because you can get a discount doesn’t mean it’s the deal you want.

Here are some of the products that you can get with a discount if you have the Lidl Plus card and the current promo code.

Jumbo diaper bag Lupilu

  • Was: £ 4.29 Now: £ 3.43 Save: 86p (20%)

This giant bag is equivalent to 4 pence per layer

There are 98 in a pack which makes each layer about 4p with the promotion applied.

The diapers are designed to stay dry all night long, yet comfortable and breathable.

A big pack of pampers that you can buy from Ocado will set you back £ 8 although it has also been reduced by 20%.

You only get 76 in the pack, which is £ 4.57 more overall and each individual layer is about 7p more than Lidl’s discount offer.

Lupilu newborn diapers

  • Was: 79p Now: 63p Save: 16p (20%)
You can get this layered back for just 63p

You can get this layered back for just 63p

This one is a 24-pack, so less than half the size of Lidl’s jumbo version, but it only costs 3p per layer, so still considerably inexpensive.

The product won Gold at the Made for Mum Award last year, so you also won’t feel like you run out of quality at a low price.

You can get a free diaper pack from Asda, however, if you sign up to test the product with Pampers, which means you could save 63p in total on that pack’s costs.

The freebie only entitles you to a single 37-pack, so you won’t be able to continue claiming the diapers once the deal is done.

Lupilu baby care

  • Was: 79p Now: 63p Save: 16p (20%)
You have the choice between three different bath products for your baby

You have the choice between three different bath products for your baby

You can choose between a lotion, a bath or a shampoo, each at just 63 pence with the 20% discount on the baby range.

The gentle shampoo formula is specially designed to gently cleanse your baby’s hair, the bath formula is gentle on their skin, and the lotion is also designed to be soothing.

At Superdrug you can get Dove brand baby lotion for £ 1, which only makes the 37p alternative more expensive than Lidl’s offer.

Lupilu baby wipes

  • Was: 45p Now: 35p Save: 10p (20%)
Baby wipes are useful for everything and you can buy them for just 35p

You can get 64 in a pack of these baby wipes which are sensitive and soothing.

Each wipe is only 5p in the pack, which will appeal to moms and dads who have a lot of mess to clean up.

You can buy scented baby wipes at Morrisons for 60p, almost double the discounted Lidl price.

You get the same amount in the pack for the extra cash, but the pack has the added touch of aloe vera for a delicate cleanse.

Lupilu Safety Cotton Swabs

  • Was: 49p Now: 39p Save: 10p (20%)
There are 70 cotton swabs in this pack which costs 39p in total

Lidl’s Lupilu Safety Buttons are made from 100% pure cotton tips designed for a safe and gentle cleaning

They also have eco-friendly paper stems which make them super easy and guilt-free to remove.

There are 70 in a bundle, which works out to 6p per head.

Meanwhile, Boots sells a pack of 200 also safe for babies at just 55p.

If you want to refuel, the drugstore version is cheaper as each bud is 2p cheaper at just 3p.

However, buyers weren’t happy with the app in the past, as they say the discount supermarket has “worse” prices on the spinning wheel feature.

But if you need a break away from the kids, Lidl sells a handbag that doubles as a wine cooler, with a secret spout that can pour alcohol straight into your glass.

The store also sells a pizza oven for £ 35, and even without a discount it’s £ 5 cheaper than Aldi’s.
